"Medida del Mar" is the first solo exhibition in Mexico City by Brooklyn-based artist Alva Mooses and presented at Salón Silicón.

In her practice, Alva generates a series of symbols that emerge from multiple reconfigurations of terrestrial globe models, highlighting the possibility of new constructions, languages​​, and ways of measuring the world. She explores wringing, draining, and spinning––rethinking world-measuring devices while tracing formal and affective threads between body and earth.
